Our Goals

Here at Make Your Garden we are passionate about environmental education and working closely with families to engage them with the nature that surrounds them in the urban environment. We believe positive interactions with nature cause positive changes, and we hope by educating families and schools on the importance of reptiles and amphibians, we can instil a positive change in the perceptions of these misunderstood species.

Educational Gardening

Meet The Species

Who's in your pond?

Want to learn more about your local reptiles and amphibians? Why not check out our blog to learn more on European reptiles and amphibians that you may find in your garden.

Build

Building a pond

Vital amphibian habitat is being lost to urban development. You can help by building a pond in your garden. Check out our pond guides to learn how you can make a pond, big or small!

Learn

Educational material for ages 3+

We have created educational material that you can use at home, or if you're a teacher you can implement into your classes. Our Eco-Education Pack demonstrates how your pond and outdoor learning can be incorporated into education, and provides you with lesson ideas for various subjects, at varying educational levels.

Get Involved

Activities for people of all ages

We have put together some activities that you can do at home to help make your garden better for reptiles., such as building toad abodes for amphibians and hibernacula for reptiles, as well as starting your own compost heap, and fun baking recipes that all the family can get involved with!
